However the contract of Ferrari with Hot Wheels is done and Bburago is now the official model maker of Ferrari. Collector groups have compared the two lines and have unanimously declared that the Hot Wheels Elite is the superior model.
What this means is that the Hot Wheels Elite line, whose production has already ceased, will be appreciating in value faster than normal discontinued lines.
Prices are creeping past the $200 mark as of press time so hold on to your HWE's!
I am so sad I never got a single Hot Wheels Ferrari because now... as you said, they're not making any and Bburago have the rights again. Which is cool because I loved bburago as a kid and so does my kid now so I even gave him some of my cars to play with and bought him a bunch of new ones. ReplyDeleteAgain, as I've said... so sad I don't have a Ferrari by Hot Wheels... my kid loves Hot Wheels but doesn't like Ferrari's so I mostly got to see them in their boxes a few years back which made me feel like a little kid :D
