Sometimes I find myself finding hidden gems among my undisplayed items. This is a common problem for collectors like myself who are perennially running out of display space. This is further compounded by the propensity to acquire some models, sight unseen, usually by way of trade or even outright sale.
This is why lately, I have had several pleasant surprises upon opening some boxes and being able to check the model in closer detail and in daylight so to speak.
One prime example is the 1957 Lincoln Premiere by Sunstar Platinum. This is a 1/18 model by the well known company Sunstar. The difference from the regular lineup is that the Platinum series is exceptionally well detailed and it seems that the paint as well is a notch higher than the regular series. The paint has a deep shine to it and its almost like the show quality paint job that is normally seen in Auto shows.
As mentioned, I had several surprises recently and I will be posting the others in this blog over the next couple of days.
In the meantime here is the 57 Lincoln Premiere. A hidden gem.

Ford Escort Mark 1 in 1/87 Scale
Here is one of my favorite cars in real life.
However, while this Mark 1 is legendary, I find myself even more attracted to the Mark 2 in Zakspeed trim.
In the meantime, enjoy the Ford Escort Mark 1 aka Mexico

DIECAST TOYS ON MY WORK DESK - SET 1 A Pair of Muscle Machine Bluebirds
I decided to start a new series of photos called DIECAST TOYS ON MY WORK DESK.
I am sure that many of you, my fellow collectors, keep toys on their desk to play with or to view. It provides us with a means to release stress and to stare at something much more pleasant than work.
So here, straight from my desk shelf, are a pair of Muscle Machines Bluebird SSS in 1/64 Scale.
Enjoy!
